Little Ria is not tired yet. She wants to slide and jump in her soft bed after her bath. I wonder if Ria will have time for a bedtime story... Of course she will! Katja Richert grew up in a small town in Lower Saxony and from an early age entertained her family, friends and the whole neighbourhood with her stories. Later, she moved to the big city, where she initially studied pedagogy and then worked as an editor. At some point, with so many ideas floating around in her head, she decided to become an author and specialised in children's literature, combining charming narratives with attractive illustrations. In addition to her work as a writer, Katja Richert has contributed to the art department of the Finnish film Luminen rakkaus (2003), where she participated as a set designer. Her focus on fantasy themes and her ability to connect with children's audiences have positioned her as a leading figure in German children's literature.
