The Finns live in Southington, Connecticut, and have three children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and five grandchildren. Together, the Finns have led workshops and retreats on topics of mastering caregiving stress, marriage enrichment, communication, and team building for adults, children, families, and organizations.

Thomas Finn, PhD, has worked for forty years as a clinical psychologist in a variety of settings and is currently on the staff of the Franciscan Life Center in Meriden, Connecticut. With expertise in the application of cognitive behavior therapy for anxiety and stress, he has also led seminars on anxiety, relationships, pastoral counseling, and organizational development in the US and abroad. He received his master's and doctorate degrees in clinical-school psychology from Hofstra University and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Fairfield University.

Donna M. Finn, PT, MS, has worked as a physical therapist for over forty years, serving in leadership positions in many health-care settings, including Yale New Haven Hospital, Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care, and Hartford HealthCare at Home. She holds a master of science degree in health sciences administration from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, a professional certificate in physical therapy from Columbia University, and a bachelor of science degree in biology from Fairfield University.
