Facebook® and Chemistry Teaching - An alternative to working with the Virtual Learning Environment

The aim of this book was to investigate the effectiveness of the social network Facebook® as a pedagogical tool in the teaching and learning process of high school chemistry. To this end, complementary activities were developed using Facebook® in the form of a 'closed group' and a 'chat group'. The research took place in a state school in Santana - AP, for students in the first year of secondary school. A Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) was created, with the aim of interacting and assimilating the chemistry content worked on in the classroom through links, photos and videos in the 'closed group' and 'chat group' on Facebook®. Come and see the results of the research! Could this be a viable alternative for the search for differentiated and innovative methodologies in chemistry teaching?
