This research discusses the relationship between Mounier's personalist philosophy and human formation. The guiding question was: what are the contributions of Mounier's personalist thought to a humanizing formation? The methodology we used was bibliographical research, analyzing the main works of this thinker and the works of commentators on his thought. We sought to understand the context of the constitution of Mounier's thought, his life story and his own personalist thought. In order to understand the humanization of man, it is necessary to go through the triad of his total volume, of his full development - incarnation, vocation and communion - characterized in the structure of the personal universe in a historical process. Thus, we cannot understand the personalistic humanizing formation of a new civilization without the so-called response-metaphysical relationship that is evident in confrontation-engagement.
