Dr. Carey Borkoski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education Specialties at Loyola University Maryland, where she teaches, coaches, and advises students in the Master of Education Leadership and Executive Leadership programs. Her work explores and addresses the challenges faced by individuals in academic environments, with the goal of creating more supportive and inclusive spaces for learning and growth. Dr. Roos is actively involved in faculty development across disciplines. She facilitates workshops on teaching and learning, sharing her expertise and insights to enhance pedagogical practices university-wide. She strives to bridge the gap between theory and practice by consistently seeking alignment between established high-impact educational practices and innovative, engaged pedagogy. This philosophy is evident in her publications, presentations, podcasts, and classroom practices, which all aim to connect theoretical foundations with practical applications that center the whole person.
