Theodora A. Maniou is an Assistant Professor in Journalism at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, University of Cyprus. She holds a PhD in Journalism (Aristotle University, Greece) and worked as a journalist for several years prior to her academic appointment. Her research in recent years has focused on issues regarding journalism practice and press freedom in different media systems.
