Dr. Xiao-Ling ZHAO is Professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and former Head of Department of the Civil Engineering at Monash University, Australia then Associate Dean (International) in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Engineering and Technology. His awards include Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Invitation Fellow, Distinguished Visiting Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Swiss National Science Foundation Visiting Professorship, Changjiang Scholar Chair Professor and Distinguished Visiting Professorship at Tsinghua University. He has chaired several international committees, such as the International Institute of Welding XV-E Committee (2002-2014), the IIFC (International Institute of FRP in Construction) working group on FRP Strengthened Metallic Structures (2005-2013), and Australian/New Zealand Standards Committee CS/23 (1998-2002).
Dr. Lili Hu is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean of the Department of Civil Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. She has received the National Youth Support Talent award in 2023 and the Shanghai Sailing Young Scientific Talent award in 2021.
