Dr. Sudarshan Kurwadkar, is a Civil and Environmental Engineering professor at California State University, Fullerton. He earned his Doctorate from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer, and an elected Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), reflecting his significant contributions to the profession. His research focuses on the fate and transport of organic and inorganic pollutants in the environment, specifically targeting emerging contaminants of concern. With over fifty scholarly articles published in peer-reviewed journals, his work continues to influence the field. Throughout his sixteen years of academic career, he has received numerous awards, scholarships, and fellowships, a testimony to his outstanding scholarly work. In 2021, he received the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine fellowship and served as a Senior NRC Research Associate at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Dr. Rajan Choudhary, Professor of Civil Engineering at IIT Guwahati, holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from IIT Roorkee and has over 17 years of experience in teaching, research, and highway construction. A Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), he actively contributes to national standards and policy development as a member of the Bureau of Indian Standards, the Indian Roads Congress, and other national and international bodies. He is the co-author of the book “Bituminous Road Construction in India (2nd edition, 2023)” and has published and presented over 100 research papers in journals and conferences. He also serves as a reviewer for nearly 50 reputed journals and holds editorial positions in two international journals. Dr. Choudhary has received multiple prestigious awards, including IRC Gold Medals and the Bihar PWD Medal from the Indian Roads Congress. His research primarily focuses on pavement materials, asphalt modification, and sustainable road technologies.

Dr. Pijush Samui, is working as Professor in the civil engineering department at NIT Patna, India. He graduated in 2000, with a B.Tech. in civil engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. He received his M.Sc. in geotechnical earthquake engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India (2004). He holds a Ph.D. in geotechnical earthquake engineering (2008) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He was Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Pittsburgh (USA) (2008-2009) and Tampere University of Technology (Finland) (2009- 2010). At University of Pittsburgh, he worked on design of efficient tool for rock cutting and application of support vector machine (SVM) in designing of geostructure. At Tampere University of Technology, he worked on design of railway embankment, slope reliability, and site characterization. In 2010, Dr. Pijush joined in the Center for Disaster Mitigation and Management at VIT University as Associate Professor.

Dr. Satyajeet Nanda, is currently Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, KIIT deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. He obtained his B.Tech. (Civil) from CET, OUAT Bhubaneswar, M.Tech. from IIT Varanasi, and Ph.D. from the IIT Kanpur. He worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Natural and Built Environment, Queen’s University Belfast, United Kingdom, between December 2013 and December 2016. His major areas of research interest include the load-settlement behavior of long piles, behavior of monopile in offshore loading conditions, crushing properties of offshore sand, deep water anchor system, and strain rate effect of soft soil using T-bar and Ball penetrometer and behavior of reinforced soil element. Dr. Nanda has been conferred with several awards from various societies, including the “IGS-C.S. Desai Biannual Award” for best paper on Constitutive Modelling for Geologic Materials.
