Francis Adams holds a PhD in Government from Cornell University, USA, and is a University Professor of Political Science and International Studies at Old Dominion University, USA. Since joining the ODU faculty, Dr. Adams has served as Director of the undergraduate International Studies program, Associate and Acting Director of the Graduate Program in International Studies, and Chair of the Department of Political Science and Geography. His teaching and research areas include international political economy, international development, globalization, and Latin American politics. Dr. Adams is the author of six books and numerous scholarly articles. His most recent book is entitled The Right to Food: The Global Campaign to End Hunger and Malnutrition (2021).
