Ulteriori informazioni

Author Ray Saunders began transforming his garden in the early 1990s. Throughout the years he has watched it grow and mature during which time he has been able to gain much knowledge as to the preferences of each plant.

Drawing on his experience he has compiled this book to bring to readers the many shrubs and trees that will add beauty to their garden. Each plant is fully described and is an invaluable guide to anyone interested in improving their garden.

All the plants are fully illustrated by photos he has taken of the many plants he has grown throughout the years which will show the reader the pleasing effect they can bring to their garden whether it be large or small. There are also details showing garden design with illustrations of plant groupings.

Info autore

Ray Saunders has written many books, including his successful 'Horsekeeping' series, while he was running his own stud farm. He has also written several novels and his autobiography: How Lucky Can You Get. During the 1990s, Ray turned his attention to gardening, studying many rare and unusual plants as well as the more common varieties. He then landscaped and redeveloped his own three-acre garden, stocking it with many rare and unusual species together with the better-known ones, learning much from the plantsmen and nurserymen that he sought out for his plants. Also, being a keen photographer, he has taken photos of his many plants as the garden has matured. He now brings this book to illustrate to the reader the many different plants available to encourage and inspire them to improve and add colour and interest to their garden.
