This proceedings volume contains selected papers from the 33rd International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT) Conference, held from July 8-11, 2024, in Porto, Portugal. It is the second volume of a three-volume set of conference proceedings focused on technologies for a sustainable future. The book explores the challenges and opportunities in today's social and business landscapes, delving into innovative and disruptive concepts. Ricardo Zimmermann is a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC), Portugal, and an Invited Professor at Águeda School of Technology and Management (ESTGA-UA), University of Aveiro, Portugal. His research interests include supply chain resilience, supply chain sustainability, supply chain strategies, digital supply chain transformation and innovation management. His research has been published in journals such as Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, Industrial Marketing Management and International Journal of Logistics Management.
 
José Coelho Rodrigues is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal, and a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC), Portugal in the field of technology management. He teaches entrepreneurship and management courses, mostly innovation and technology management. His research area focuses on the use of technologies by organizations, particularly on the alignment between technologies and their adopters and their relation with strategic alignment, the challenges of adoption and diffusion of technological innovations, and the redesign of business models to explore business opportunities driven by innovative technologies.
 
Ana Simões is a Senior Researcher in the technology adoption and innovation process at the Centre for Enterprise of Systems Engineering, Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC), Portugal. She is responsible for the training area in the Industry and Innovation Lab (iiLab) at INESC TEC. She is also an Invited Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal in the areas of management, operations management, and supply chain management. Her main research interests are technology adoption and innovation management.
 
Gustavo Dalmarco is a Senior Researcher at Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology, and Science (INESC TEC), Portugal. With background in the Aerospace Sector, he works on research projects related to the areas of Technology Adoption Strategies, Innovation Management and Circular Economy. Gustavo leads the research line of Technology Management in Industry, engaging researchers, MSc and Ph.D. students in studying the impact of the adoption of digital, green, and human-centered technologies on innovation, resilience, and circularity of manufacturing companies and their value chains.
