Craig E. Bertolet is Hollifield Professor of English at Auburn University. In addition to numerous chapters and articles on Gower and Chaucer, he is the author of
Chaucer, Gower, Hoccleve and the Commercial Practices of Late Fourteenth-Century London (2013) and co-editor with Robert Epstein of
Money, Commerce, and Economics in Late Medieval English Literature (2017).
Susan Nakley is the author of
Living in the Future: Sovereignty and Internationalism in the Canterbury Tales (2017) and Professor and Associate Chair of English at St. Joseph's University, New York. She studies intersections of literature and politics in Middle English texts. With Karla Taylor, she recently coedited "What We Think of When We Think of
The Prioress's Tale," a special issue of the
Chaucer Review 59.3 (July 2024). Her current projects include
Barbarous Tongues: Essays on Language and Alterity in the Later Middle Ages, coedited with Larry Scanlon, and
Libelous Reorientations: Anti-Judaism, Orientalism, and Performance, a second monograph.
