Poetics of the Portrait of the Poet through Horace's Art Poètique

Presented and defended on December 23, 2022 at the Institut Supérieur Pédagogique de Muhangi in Butembo in the Lettres et Sciences Humaines (LSH) section of the French-Latin Department (FLAT) by student Alpha-Justin MALIRO, this final year thesis (TFE) deals with the Poetics of the poet's portrait through the poetic art of Quintus Horatius Flaccus, known as Horace. In this Ars Poetica alias Epistula ad Pisonnes, Alpha Justin identifies the qualities the poet must possess, the faults he must overlook and the alternative that awaits him.
