Qui ne connaît Proust ? mais qui l'a lu ? Les figurations de l'écrivain forment un support important de l'historiographie littéraire et culturelle. Or l'écrivain n'est pas uniquement le père ou le fils de ses oeuvres, niais aussi le produit d'interactions entre plusieurs types de discours tissés par différents médias.
Comment donne-t-on à voir les écrivains ? Quels aspects sont-ils convoqués et à quelles fins, dans quels types de discours (politique, philosophique, psychologique, religieux...) ? Comment les arts graphiques, la photographie, le cinéma, les performances... contribuent-ils à l'appréhension des auteurs ? Dans quelle mesure et pourquoi une vision particulière d'un écrivain peut-elle, à un moment, s'imposer, disparaître, s'éloigner du discours auctorial ? Quelles sont les formes d'idolâtrie ou d'iconoclasme que les figurations traduisent et selon quelles axiologies
C'est à ces interrogations, qui mettent en question ce qu'est la littérature et ce que sont les écrivains, que se consacrent les contributions rassemblées dans le présent ouvrage.
Who doesn't know Proust ? But who read him ? The representations of the writer serve as an important support of literary and cultural historiography. Yet, the writer is ont only the father or the son of his works, but also the product of interactions between several kinds of speeches created by different media.
How does one give to see the writers ? Which signs are convened and to what ends, in what kinds of speeches (political, philosophical, psychological, religious...) ? How do graphic arts, photography, cinema, artistic performances contribute to the apprehension of authors ? In which way and why can a particular view of a writer, at a time, be imperative, disappear, move away from the auctorial speech ? What are the idolatry or iconoclasm forms that representations translate and according to which axilogies ?
This is at these questionings, which call into question what is literature and what are the writers, that are dedicated the contributions in this work.
