Informationen zum Autor SreyRam Kuy, MD, MHS, FACS serves as Chief Medical Officer for Louisiana Medicaid where she leads the drive to improve healthcare quality in a $10.7 billion health system serving 1.6 million patients, and teaches as Associate Professor of Surgery at LSU-New Orleans. Dr. Kuy earned her master's in health policy and research at Yale as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar and has published more than 40 articles on healthcare quality, surgical outcomes and patient safety. Dr. Kuy was selected as a Presidential Leadership Scholar, a joint leadership program by President Clinton and President Bush, Business Report's 40 Under 40 Award, the Ford Foundation's Community Service Award and the Early Career Achievement Award by Oregon Health & Sciences University. Dr. Kuy's writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, the Washington Post, The Independent, the Huffington Post, and Salon.Rachel J. Kwon is a graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago. She trained in general surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and was a clinical research fellow in evidence-based surgery at the University of Oxford.
