Cashman is Chair of the Department of Languages, Literatures, & Cultures, Associate Professor of Spanish, and a core faculty member in Women's Studies at the University of New Hampshire. Her research focuses on Spanish in the U.S., bilingual language practices, and identities in interaction. She is a member of the advisory council of the International Gender and Language Association (IGALA). Zusammenfassung The book is an analysis of language and identity of LGBTQ Mexicans/Latinxs in Phoenix, Arizona (USA). It aims to queer the study of bilingualism and U.S. Spanish, introducing ‘jotería linguistics’, an adamantly intersectional approach to language and sexuality among the second largest Spanish-speaking population in the world – U.S. Latinxs.
