Erstmalig wird eine regionales Programm zur lebensweltbezogenen Gesundheitsförderung auf umfassende Weise (Landes-, Gemeinde- und Bevölkerungsebene) untersucht. Die Ergebnisse rekurrieren auf etablierte wissenschaftliche Konzepte und weisen die Wichtigkeit von (tatsachlichem) Empowerment, Kooperation und aktiver Zielgruppenansprache auch in einem derart komplexen Gesamtprogramm nach. Neben diesen zentralen Aussagen leitet der Autor auch noch eine Reihe weiterer Schlussfolgerungen für die tagliche Praxis der gemeindebezogenen Gesundheitsförderung ab.
