Publié en 1736, la Méthode des Fluxions est l'un des plus grands ouvrages de Sir Isaac Newton. Il décrit sa théorie des fluxions, une méthode pour calculer des limites et des dérivées utilisée en calcul infinitésimal, ainsi que sa théorie des suites infinies. Cette traduction par M. Buffon a permis de diffuser largement les travaux de Newton en France.
