This book is focused on the application of methodological approaches and systems of multiple criteria decision analysis (MCDA) in the field of resource management. Resource management constitutes a major challenge of modern times. The book comprehensively examines cases of human resources, material resources and natural resources in particular. It focuses on the efficient utilization of these resources to achieve sustainability of economic, environmental and social aspects. Also, the book presents methodological tools which aim to support the decision making at operational, executive and strategic levels.The book presents recent results of scientific research in the field of MCDA and its applications to resource management. Athanasios Spyridakos is Professor at Business Administration Department of University of West Attica and the last years serves as Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economical and Social Sciences. He received his PhD in Multicriteria Decision Support Systems from Technical University of Crete and he is a member of Hellenic Operational Research Society (HELORS). His research interests include multicriteria decision aid, decision support systems, knowledge management, data mining, multivariate data analysis and artificial intelligence. He worked for a long time for IT firms in large scale projects prior to his commitment to higher education and research activities. He is the author of more than 50 papers in journal, chapter books and conferences.
