Today, almost one billion people in the world are confronted with climate hazards, and this number will be greater in the future according to the scenarios. Increasing emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere are causing disruptions to the climate system. This has irreversible and widespread effects, affecting the existence of human life. Evidence suggests that climate change will further affect physical and biological systems in many parts of the world. This will affect the fundamental interests of future generations, as these changes will amplify existing risks and create new risks to natural and human systems. This means that if nothing is done by the present generation, the future generation will inherit not only problems of the same magnitude, but a series of more serious problems. It is in this sense that this study presents the impacts of climate change on the rights to the environment, social and economic development of future generations, as well as the international effort for development that is mindful of the rights of future generations.

Der Autor, Msc in internationalem Umweltrecht, Studium der ländlichen Soziologie an der Universität von Kara und des internationalen und vergleichenden Umweltrechts an der Universität von Limoges.
