Being a parent of a child suffering from autism is therefore not an easy task and is often accompanied by exhaustion, guilt, narcissistic wounds, fear, etc. Indeed, this mental handicap affects not only the child, but also the family and the people around them. The care of children with disabilities, especially mental disabilities, is a real health, socio-economic and cultural problem. There are few care solutions and a great ignorance of the issue of disability. Care is all the more difficult because parents and caregivers are imbued with beliefs. When the diagnosis is announced, parents are often faced with feelings of fear, shock, isolation, uncertainty, distress or guilt. They have difficulty finding their way through the multitude of information available to them and analyzing the relevance of the information received. Although the announcement of the diagnosis can be experienced as an emotional upheaval, it can also be synonymous with relief, relief at finally knowing what their child is suffering from.
