Neuroendocrinology is a branch of biology which is concerned with the functional and anatomical interactions between the endocrine system and the nervous system. Major neuroendocrine systems are hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis, hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis and hypothalamic-neurohypophyseal system.
