Barkley
A Heart Worth Calling, is the fourth story of the Preston Family and Kane Alberson. Barkley finally accepts the call to the ministry. Becoming shepherd to the people of Sunny Vale Church he finds there's turmoil and the church is under the grip of the man who donated the land for it to be built. Barkley is threatened by letters saying his reputation will be destroyed by pictures, a teenage girl makes up her mind she will abort her baby as Barkley tries to reason with her and the same family they've been warring has moved back to the neighborhood, Barkley's life is not easy. She began writing first person articles of interest for a newspaper and branched into hosting a weekly column that featured area writers and poets. She studied with the late author and illustrator David Melton and has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers. While writing is an important outlet, she is also an artist, a life group leader, and has an interest in an area agricultural endeavor.
