    Das Buch Kala von Colin Walsh hat es wirklich in sich! Es ist eine intensive und auch krasse Story! So ab der Hälfte ist es mehr ein Thriller, der an einigen Stellen auch wirklich brutal ist!
    Die Geschehnisse werden aus drei Sichtweisen beschrieben. Helen, die aufgrund einer Hochzeit eher unwillig wieder in die Stadt kommt. Dann Joe, der mittlerweile als Musiker Karriere gemacht hat. Und Mush, der niemals die Stadt verlassen hat und im Cafe seiner Mutter arbeitet. Es werden jeweils die Erinnerungen an die Jugend geweckt, vor allem zu der Zeit als ihre gemeinsame Freundin Kala plötzlich verschwunden ist. Jeder trägt irgendwie Schuld mit sich herum und hat die Geschehnisse damals nicht verwunden. Immer mehr kommt ans Licht und üble Dinge von damals wie heute werden nach und nach aufgedeckt.
    Der Schreibstil ist speziell und ich fand ihn sehr einnehmend. Immer direkt aus der Gedankenwelt der jeweiligen Person. Teilweise Teenagerslang, oft roh, intensiv und ungeschönt! Kann sein, dass das nicht jedem gefällt.
    Mich hat die Story wirklich in den Bann gezogen und konnte gar nicht mehr aufhören zu lesen, da ich unbedingt wissen wollte, was damals passierte.
    Keine leichte Kost aber interessant, spannend und gut geschrieben!
