The present study was conducted to know the nutrient status of buffaloes initially village around the Veterinary College, Indore district of Malwa region of M.P. in order to suggest the strategic nutrient supplementation to overcome common reproductive problems and metabolic diseases prevalent in dairy animals.This study was conducted in last trimester. During this period of study individual animal of both groups were examined for occurrence of common pre and post parturient reproductive and metabolic disorders (ROP, prolapse, milk fever, haemoglobinuria, downers syndrome, ketosis) on the basis of clinical symptoms and mastitis (subclinical and clinical). The body condition score was also measured in both groups of animals during the period of study. Milk yield was also measured for four weeks post calving.. In nutrient availability there was shortage of DCP, P, Zn, Cu, vitamin A and vitamin E in advanced pregnant buffaloes there was shortage of P, Zn, Mn, Cu, vitamin A and vitamin E.Effect of supplementation of strategic nutrients was clearly seen.Effect of supplementation in advanced pregnant buffaloes found to prevent reproductive problems and metabolic disorders.

Dinesh Thakur was born on 20th may, 1986 at Barwani MP. In 2008 he took admission in college of Veterinary Science A.H. Mhow and obtained the degree of B.V.Sc.& A.H. in the year 2013 with 63%. In same year he joined M.V.Sc. and A.H. in the Department of Animal Nutrition and obtained the degree of M.V.Sc.& A.H. in the year 2015 with 79 %.
