The COVID-19 pandemic has forced society to re-evaluate security, crisis and risk management principles and policies so we are better prepared to deal with contemporary threats. This book provides an overview of selected and key changes that have taken place in the security environment across entities.
The book analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the security environment and modern societies. Using a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to security issues, it draws attention to political, military, cultural, information, legal, psychological and social aspects. Combining theoretical, empirical and practical perspectives, the editors and contributors present the result of research on both current and forecast effects of the pandemic on individuals, social groups, countries and the international community.
