Claire Sprague is professor emerita of Brooklyn College, CUNY. She has also taught at Reed College, NYU and elsewhere. In her books and articles about writers as varied as Doris Lessing, Edgar Saltus, VanClara Thompson, and others. She has indulged her curiosity. For many years she produced a radio program in Province town on gender issues.
