History of Wales in Twelve Poems

Poetry played a crucial part in sustaining a sense of Welsh identity from the seventh century until today. This study views the history of Wales through the lens of twelve poems that span almost fifteen hundred years. M. Wynn Thomas is a professor of English and the Emyr Humphreys Professor of Welsh writing in English at Swansea University in Wales. Ruth Jên Evans is a professional artist whose works combine media, specializing in printmaking from her studio in an old shoe shop in Tal-y-bont, Ceredigion.
