Info autore
Helena Harastova is a writer, translator, and mother. She graduated in Dramaturgy from the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts, having previously worked for the National Theatre in Brno, Czech Republic. Her most unusual pastime is proofreading texts for errors in spelling, grammar, and style.
Pavla Hanackova (1990–2021) was a Czech author who studied English and Chinese at Palacky University, Olomouc, and later worked as a children's book editor for Albatros. In addition to her love of travel, she had a deep passion for food – and all things food-related. She hailed from a picturesque Moravian village surrounded by vineyards.
Michaela Bergmannova is an illustrator from Czechia. A graduate of the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, she worked with Czech Television on several children’s shows. She has also illustrated several children’s books and she also works for a children’s magazine. What she loves most about how the children perceive the world is the delight that kids take in new discoveries and their straightforwardness to new topics.

Testo aggiuntivo
Colorful, detailed, and fascinating guide to types of dwellings around the world. From caves to skyscrapers to houseboats, a huge variety is covered in nice detail. Kids' imaginations will be inspired by all of the different ways of life for other children around the world and I can see inspiration for many fun conversations. ―L G, Educator
A bright and colorful look at what homes look like all over the world! I loved how each home had something special and unique that was pointed out. ―Emilee M, Reviewer
My children and I loved this book. There are nice, colorful illustrations to keep the little ones’ attention. Each dwelling examined is shown and a child living there explains how it’s built, how the family uses tools, electricity, water, and how they obtain food. My seven-year-old loved learning about different cultures from around the world and how children his age live and spend time in other parts of the world. We really enjoyed exploring via this book; it would be perfect for kids through elementary school age at home and in the classroom. ―Megan G, Educator
How Kids Live Around the World introduces children to where other children live. A child presents each individual style of shelter. Information is well presented in both words and illustrations. ―Educator 288720
„A perfect book for children 4+, who will learn not to be afraid of the others and appreciate different habits of their peers.“ „From Inuit’s igloo till Thai house on stilts, a colorful journey among different ways of living. But also a literally lesson about the value of tolerance.“―La Repubblica
