Growing up she developed a keen interest in the concepts of community, cultural dissonance and belonging, leading her to pursue a degree in English Literature and Language at King's College London. Since graduating, Mary has worked for several national newspapers including the Telegraph , the Guardian and the Independent . One Night Beneath The Lemon Trees is her second novel.
