Mar Pavón (Manresa, Spain, 1968) is a writer mainly dedicated to children's literature. Some of her extensive work is translated into English, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Dutch, Chinese and Korean, among other languages. She has been honored with prestigious awards in the US, some of which were presented by the International Latino Book Awards. Her most significant work is
Yeray Poeta, published following the birth of her son in 1996. Her most popular character is "Clucky the Hen", created in collaboration with the illustrator Mónica Carretero, winner of several awards and recognitions.
Mónica Carretero was born in Madrid, but now lives happily in Segovia, where she draws colorful illustrations and writes books for children. She assures that her job makes her feel alive. A passion well depicted in her sunny drawings and original, cheerful characters. She has illustrated dozens of books, games and posters for Spain, England, France, Korea, Australia and the United States. Since 2011, her work has been recognized on several occasions, being awarded at the London Book Fair, the Latino Book Awards in the United States and also in the BookExpo America.

Clucky the Hen is back on her new adventure! Howard the talent-spotting owl causes pandemonium when he arrives at Clucky the Hen’s farm… now everyone wants to show off their skills! But who will be the one to impress him?
Everything is quiet on the farm, and Clucky and her farmyard friends go through their usual daily routine on what seems to be a normal day. But it isn’t! Rumor has it, Howard, the owl is on his way to meet them! Howard is a world-famous talent scout, known for seeking near and far, discovering new talents, and making them big stars. Many singers and magicians, dancers, acrobats, mimes, and a roller-skating musician shot to stardom thanks to him! The animals are all aflutter and eager to demonstrate their gifts and abilities. Who will be the new talent to dazzle Mr. Howard? Soon, the farm is upside down with people singing, magic tricks, theater shows… Meanwhile, our friendly Clucky the Hen stays away from all the fuss and doesn’t seem to care, and she focuses on her chicks.
