Domestic violence is majorly committed by an intimate partner against the other, or could also be against children, parents or the elderly. There are actually different ways by which domestic violence is displayed, such as physical, verbal, emotional, economic, religious, sexual abuse and female genital mutilation.Globally, the victims of domestic violence are women who experience more severe forms but that does not mean that men do not experience domestic violence also especially verbal and emotional violence.However, health workers have a crucial role to play in helping women and children who experience violence. They pay attention to the symptoms and signs, ask about their experience, provide appropriate medical records, also refer survivors to available community resources. They also document and maintain privacy, confidentiality of client information.This book assessed the health workers attitudes and how they manage these survivors when they approach them in the health centers.
