The association of some cytokine genes polymorphisms with type2 diabet

This study was conducted in the Genetic Engineering and biotechnology Institute for postgraduate studies / University of Baghdad during the period from November 2014 to March 2015, for detecting of a proposed association of some cytokine genes polymorphisms with the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus in Iraq.This study was consisted of two groups: (50) patients with type 2diabetes (group1) and (50) apparently healthy subjects with normal fasting blood sugar as a control group (group2). Patients with type 2 diabetes recruited from the National Center for Diabetes /AL- Mustansiriya University. While, the apparently healthy subjects were obtained from volunteers in different area. Subject information was collected using specific questionnaire form.
