Labour History in the Semi-periphery - Southern Europe, 19th-20th centuries

This collective volume aims at studying a variety of labour history themes in the Southern and the part of the Central Europe that once formed part of the Habsburg Empire. What kind of transformations of labour and labour relations did these areas undergo in the 19th and the 20th centuries? To what extent did they form part of a universal experience of capitalism? Those are the leading questions guiding through this volume.
