University students are attempting a final year environmental project in a cabin on a remote island, none of them happy about the presence of the grotesque Magnus in their midst. Events soon take a darker turn, dividing the group across the lines of good and evil.

Info autore

Mark Carew was born in Wales and grew up near Sudbury, Suffolk. He began working life as a scientist, receiving a PhD in cell physiology from Cambridge, and, until recently, was Associate Professor at Kingston University. Writing gradually took over during that time, with the publication of short stories, and the novels The Book of Alexander and Magnus. He now works as a freelance medical writer. He lives in Surrey with his wife and two children.

Riassunto

One professor, five students, a week-long field trip on an isolated island in the Norwegian Sea. Four of the undergraduates are typical in their aims and ambitions. And then there is Magnus. Who will heed their call?
