A Literary Field Guide to Southern Appalachia , which she coedited, is forthcoming from the University of Georgia Press. The recipient of the Chaffin Award for Achievement in Appalachian Writing and the Fellowship of Southern Writers' New Writing Award for Poetry, her work has appeared in The Kenyon Review , The Southern Review , New England Review , Prairie Schooner , The Missouri Review , Oxford American , and many other journals.
