Lars Gustaf Andersson is professor of film studies at Lund University, Sweden. He is co-author, with John Sundholm and Astrid Söderbergh Widding, of A History of Swedish Experimental Film Culture: From Early Animation to Video Art (2010), and with John Sundholm of Hellre fri är filmare: Filmverkstan och den fria filmen (‘Free rather than filmmaker: The Stockholm Film Workshop and the independent film’) (2014).
John Sundholm is professor of film studies at Stockholm University, Sweden, and is on the examination board of the Ph.D. programme in fine arts at the University of the Arts, Helsinki, Finland. He is currently researching Swedish minor immigrant cinemas together with Lars Gustaf Andersson.
Prof. David E. James is on the faculty of the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. His teaching focuses on avant-garde cinema, culture in Los Angeles, east-Asian cinema, cinema and music and working-class culture. His publications include Allegories of Cinema: American Film in the Sixties (1989), Power Misses: Essays Across (Un)Popular Culture (1996), The Most Typical Avant-Garde: History and Geography of Minor Cinemas in Los Angeles (2005) and Rock ‘N’ Film: Cinema’s Dance With Popular Music (2016).
