La ligne qu'il décrit, ou la suite des positions successives qu'il occupe dans le système dont il fait partie, s'appelle la trajectoire du mobile. On aura une idée très - nette du mouvement du point m en considérant la ligne décrite par le mobile, et disant en quel point de cette ligne le mobile se trouve à chaque instant.
