Surgical And Prosthetic Failures In Implants

Most common problem faced by implantologist today is complications and failures occurring in osseointegrated implants. Regardless of the type of implant used and despite the experience and the skill of the surgeon, the restoring dentist and the laboratory technician, dental implant therapy carries with it a significant level of complications.To optimize the treatment outcome, etiologies and factors related to implant failures should be evaluated.Hence, this dissertation is intented to provide an insight of various implant failures and treatment and management of various implant failures.
