A supplire in qualche guisa a tal difetto io m' ac cingo, e facendo capo dalle Monete delle Famiglie pas sero' quindi alle altre delle straniere dominazioni sinchè ogni parte della raccolta sia nota al pubblico, ed illustrata.
La riverenza che ogni cuor genovese sente per quel Grande che col senno e con le armi seppe liberare la Patria dal giogo di Francia mi consiglia a lrattar prima delle Monete dei Doria, che, se non molte son quasi tutte rarissime.
