Lasst sich fiir ein System von Dingen eine die vorstehenden Forderungen befriedigende Erklärung aufstellen, so heissen diese Dinge zu je zweien vergleichbar und werden Grössen und zwar gleichartige (homogene) genannt. Gleichartige Grössen sind also Dinge, von denen je zwei mit einander verglichen sind.
