La maestría con que los árabes manejan sus caballos, el esmero con que lºs crían y los cuidan, habian llamado particularmente mi atencion; así es que en los años que permanecí en Argel nunca dejé escapar ocasion en que pu diera conseguir datos sobre este particular. Habia pensado que teniendo la España la misma raza de caballos, po dia serla interesante y útil el comparar los métodos pri mitivos, conservados por las tradiciones entre los moros y árabes, nuestros abuelºs y los que la ciencia hipnátrica ha modificado entre nosotros.
