In 1962, Hereford exports totaled 15118 head, or percent of total exports. Brahman exports increased in 1962 to head compared with in 1961, or 30 percent of 1962 total exports, whereas in 1961 they were only 20 per cent. Aberdeen Angus exports totaled or 13 percent of the 1962 total, a slight decrease compared with 1961. Santa Gertrudis exports accounted for 9 percent, and Charolais 3 percent of the total.
Texas continued as the leading export State with 58 percent of the total compared with only 5h percent in 1961. Florida ranked second with 9 percent, Arizona third with 8 percent, and New thrice fourth with 6 percent. A total States contributed to the exports of cattle from the United States in l 2.
