Comme la musique n'est qu'un enchaînement de sons qui se font entendre ou tous ensemble ou successivement, il suffit que tous cas sous aient des expressions relatives qui leur assignent à chacun la place qu'il doit occuper par rap port à un certain son fondamental pourvu que ce son soit nettement exprimé, et que la relation soit facile à connaître: avantages que n'a deja point la musique ordinaire, où le son fondamental n'a nulle évidence particulière et où tous les rapports des notes ont besoin d'être long - temps étudiés.
