La parte Sur de las ruinas está atravesada por una acequia profunda cuya ejecución requirió el corte de las rocas. Sobre esta acequia, que conduce el agua á los te rrenos cultivados de las inmediaciones, existe la versión de su existencia remota, noticia que nos ha hecho suponer que se trata de una obra realizada por los antiguos pobladores.
