Ces publications partielles, suffisantes pour faire connaitre la manière d'ermengaud, ne donnent qu'une idée très impar faite de l'ouvrage, dont le principal mérite est. À notre avis, dans la synthèse qui a présidé à sa composition. C'est sous ce rapport que le Breviari se distingue des oeuvres du même genre composées à peu près à la même époque. Il importait donc qu'il fût édité en entier.
