Sobre la clasiñcación de los afrodítidos existen divergencias considerables entre los autores que se han ocupado en ella, a causa de diferencias de criterio en punto al valor que se le debe dar a cada carácter, para la división de los grupos; pues mientras que para unos es éste esencial, otros consideran como meramente específicos los caracteres que debían de tener un valor genérico.
