Personne n'a encore atteint aux cimes des plus hautes montagnes des deux continents le Dhava laghiri (mont-blanc), et le Diavahir dans l'ancien le Soçata et l'illimani dans le nouveau sont restés inaccessibles. Le point le plus élevé auquel, dans les deux continents, on soit parvenu, est la pente sud.
