There are but few, if any, in the U. States, who devote them selves-to the Obtaining of as much knowledge or information as may be acquired from the columns of a newspaper, - who have not heard or'rcad of the Seminole war; who have not also heardthat Gen. Andrew Jackson, who conducted that war, had, contrary to the determination and sentence of a Court mar tial, proceeded, by an arbitrary and tyrannical stretch of usur potion and lawless power, caused to he executed two foreigners, named Arbuthnot and Ambrister, who had been residing for some time among the Seminole indians, and while engaged in the occupation of traders, had been in a cold-blooded and cru'cl manner apprehended and put to death, even though acquitted by a court martial.
