Riassunto

A comprehensive, mathematically advanced treatment of the continuum mechanics of the Earth's mantle, focussing on the craft of formulating geodynamical model problems and the analytical methods required to solve them. Featuring abundant exercises with worked solutions, this will make a useful resource for geoscientists and applied mathematicians.
